David Chambon - Morning Dew

Just thought that I'd share these amazing images with you now that spring is here, the worst of winter has receded but the mornings are still a little damp and frosty. They are part of the Morning Dew series of the work of photographer David Chambon, who surprisingly, is only an amateur photographer, and has been capturing a variety of insects coated in the morning dew of his native France with a macro lens for the last 10 years. He ventures out early in Dampierre-les-Bois, and captures the insects as they rest on leaves and plants, sparkling in the glow of the dew that covers their bodies. They resemble the diamond encrusted insect jewellery that has inspired my recent work.
