Maria Fernanda Cardoso: Butterflies Through Other Eyes #51

Butterfly drawings made using their actual body parts by artist Maria Fernanda Cardoso.

"Culturally, butterflies are considered symbols of pure innocence and beauty. Not only because of their attractive colours, but also because of their fascinating symmetry. Dissecting them, I remove their bodies and utilise their wings, antennas and tongues, to create patterns generated by their own shapes and designs". - Maria Fernanda Cardoso
